Pietro Mattioni has extensive experience in the beverage industry, particularly in the wine and coffee sectors. Pietro is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Zonin 1821, a leading Italian wine corporation with a strong international presence. In this role, they have re-shaped the corporate and business strategy, resulting in increased margins and revenues. Prior to Zonin 1821, Pietro was the Commercial Director World at illycaffè, where they had full P&L responsibility and oversaw the commercial function across 140 countries.

Before joining illycaffè, Pietro held various leadership positions at Campari Group. Pietro was the Managing Director of Campari UK & Nordics, leading the start-up of the subsidiary and implementing innovative marketing and commercial strategies. Pietro also managed the export business in the Scandinavian region and Poland, as well as the Glen Grant distillery. Prior to that, Pietro served as the Managing Director of Campari Benelux, where they successfully established Aperol as a leading brand in the aperitif market and launched a new subsidiary in Belgium. Pietro also served as the Regional Director for Western Europe and was responsible for revamping the strategy and route to market in Central European markets. Additionally, Pietro held the position of Regional Director for the Americas, Asia Pacific, Eastern European and Travel Retail regions, where they re-launched and formulated new country/brand strategies, resulting in increased net sales.

Before their tenure at Campari Group, Pietro worked as an Export Area Manager at De'Longhi. Overall, Pietro's work experience showcases their expertise in developing and implementing successful business strategies, driving revenue growth, and leading international teams.

Pietro Mattioni has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Cass Business School, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this, they pursued two summer courses at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2012 and 2013, focusing on Strategic Decision Making and Marketing Strategy, respectively. Additionally, Pietro holds a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Economics from Università degli Studi di Udine, which they obtained from 1987 to 1994. Pietro completed their education by earning a Scientific high school degree from Liceo Scientifico Giovanni Marinelli in 1987.
