John Mhongovoyo

John Mhongovoyo is a seasoned veterinarian with extensive experience in veterinary medicine and wildlife management. Currently serving as a Senior Veterinarian at Al Ain Zoo since July 2018, John previously held the position of Practicing Partner at Delta Dunes Veterinary Surgery, where the focus was on small and large animals, wildlife, and exotic pets. John has a significant background with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, contributing as a Principal Veterinary Officer II and Senior Veterinary Officer, where responsibilities included implementing wildlife research strategies and coordinating veterinary activities. Earlier career experience includes general veterinary practice at Masvingo Vet Surgery in Zimbabwe. John holds a Master of Science in Animal/Human/Ecosystem Health from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Zimbabwe.
