Nick McCleery

Nick McCleery is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering roles across various industries, including defence, finance, and automotive. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer in Residence at Zoo since January 2025, Nick previously worked at Whitespace as a Software Consultant, focusing on LLM agent systems for the defence sector. As the founder of Anneal, established in 2021, Nick developed a collaborative digital workspace for hardware engineering teams. Additional experience includes significant roles at Quant Insight, B-Secur, and Sahara Force India Formula One Team, where Nick contributed to advanced financial analytics, algorithmic methods for electrocardiogram data, and vehicle performance analysis, respectively. Nick's career commenced at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, progressing from a graduate mechanical engineer to developing performance analysis methods in powertrain technology. Nick holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University Belfast.
