Kelly Hiser

Kelly Kelly'ser has over 10 years of professional experience in the fields of music, technology, and public library services. In 2020, they began their current role as Product Manager at Zoobean. From 2014 to 2020, they were the Founder and Chair of the Board of Directors and Founder & CEO of Rabble, where they built the open source MUSICat platform in collaboration with public libraries across North America. In 2013, they were a Digital Publishing Research Fellow at Madison Public Library (Madison, WI), where they managed a public-private partnership to develop and launch Yahara Music Library. That same year, they were also a Program Manager at Grace Presents Concert Series. From 2009 to 2010, they held various roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including Teaching Assistant, Project Assistant, and Reference Assistant at Mills Music Library. In 2007, they were a Teaching Assistant and Opera Theater Program Teaching Assistant at the University of Miami. From 2006 to 2009, they were an Instructor at Butler County Community College and a Pianist at St. Peter Catholic Church. Finally, from 1999 to 2006, they were a Self-Employed Piano Instructor.

Kelly Kelly'ser obtained a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2005. Kelly then attended the University of Miami, where they earned a Master of Music in Musicology in 2009. Afterward, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Kelly'storical Musicology in 2015. Prior to their Bachelor of Music, Kelly Kelly'ser studied Piano and Liberal Arts studies at Elizabethtown College.
