Shawn Blackburn

Shawn Blackburn is an experienced professional in the zoological and conservation fields, currently serving as the Director of Partnerships at Zoolife since November 2021, where responsibilities include establishing beneficial collaborations with leading zoological institutions and developing innovative revenue solutions. Prior to this role, Shawn spent over 15 years at the Toronto Zoo, primarily in Learning & Engagement, where design and coordination of educational programs and guest experiences were key focuses. Earlier experience as a Wildlife Keeper involved direct care of various species and public engagement efforts centered on wildlife conservation. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trent University and a Diploma in Fish & Wildlife Technology from Fleming College.
