Rebecca Blanchard

Rebecca Blanchard has extensive experience in media and communications within the zoological sector. Currently serving as Media Manager at the Zoological Society of London since April 2008, Rebecca has previously held roles as Senior Press Officer and Press Officer. Simultaneously, since January 2014, Rebecca has contributed to the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums as a member of the Communications Working Group, where responsibilities included strategic support for communications initiatives, conference delivery, and reputational management. Rebecca also chaired the Communications and Development Committee and served on BIAZA's Council, focusing on communications strategy and public relations outreach. Earlier career experiences include a managerial position at Sainsbury's and a brief role at the Atlantic Whale Foundation, where responsibilities spanned conservation research and public engagement. Educational qualifications include a BA Hons in Media and Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London, attained from 2005 to 2008.
