Katie Krecklow

Katie Krecklow has extensive work experience in the field of communications and media. Katie began their career at Marcus Theatre as a Concession Stand Attendant from 1997 to 2001. Katie then worked as a Cashier at Parking and Transit from 2001 to 2003. Katie later joined the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as a Promotional Film Creator in 2003, where they created a recruitment video for the College of Health Sciences. In 2003, they also started working at WISN 12 News, initially as a Morning Show Producer, then as an Executive Producer, and finally as a Producer. At WISN 12 News, Katie was responsible for coordinating and producing news broadcasts, making editorial decisions, and managing a team of journalists. In 2017, they joined the Zoological Society of Milwaukee as a Communications Coordinator, where they wrote and distributed news releases and worked with the media on ongoing projects. Katie was later promoted to Communications & Public Relations Manager and eventually to Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications.

Katie Krecklow pursued their education from 1999 to 2003 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communications.
