Katharina Herrmann is a Wildlife Conservation Coordinator at Zoologischer Garten Berlin, currently leading conservation efforts for Zoo Berlin and Berlin Tierpark since April 2020. In addition to serving as the Amur leopard EEP coordinator and vice-chair of the EAZA Rhino Taxon Advisory Group, Katharina is actively involved with the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) as both the EAZA Rhino TAG vice chair and EAZA Amur leopard EEP Coordinator. With extensive experience in species management and conservation planning through roles at IUCN SSC Conservation Planning Specialist Group and previous internships in various zoos and research organizations, Katharina holds a Master of Science in Zoo Conservation Biology from the University of Plymouth and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management from Het Van Hall Institute.
