Zoologischer Garten Berlin AG is a Germany-based operator of a zoo in Berlin, Germany. The Company owns, among others, penguins, polar bears, elephants, California sea lions, hippos, giraffes, gorillas, lions, rhinos, okapis, orangutans, zebras, capybaras, kangaroos and mongooses. The zoo also features a petting area where children can touch the animals, guided tours for the Berlin schools, as well as constructions, such as the hippopotamus house and the artificial water habitat for penguins and seals, which both feature underwater viewing areas. The zoo also has a nocturnal animal house and an aquarium, which houses a selection of fish species, amphibians, insects and invertebrates, as well as a fully accessible crocodile chamber.
