Awinash Sinha

Awinash Sinha is the current Corporate CIO at Zoom. Awinash was previously with VMware, where they served as Vice President, IT from March 2021 to March 2022. In this role, they led engineering efforts for the company's transition to a Subscription & SaaS business model in the Multi-Cloud market. Awinash also drove the following efforts:

* Modernizing, simplifying and standardizing the application ecosystem for the company's growth and scalability.

* Aligning business process, operations and technology for delivering frictionless customer & partner experience.

* Enabling data insight and AI/ML led business decision making.

* Building a nimble and flexible IT organization to support the evolving SaaS/Subscription business model.

Prior to that, they were Sr. Director, IT from January 2017 to December 2020, where they led business engagement and engineering portfolio for Customer Ops, Go to Market Functions like Marketing, Sales, digital commerce, Quoting/Deal Desk, Professional Services, Customer & Partner learning management and field facing digital CoE.

Awinash started at VMware as Director, IT (Demand to Quote) in July 2013 and held that position until December 2016.

Awinash Sinha has completed an executive program in business administration and management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Awinash also has an MBA in business administration from San Jose State University. Their undergraduate degree is in engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Patna. Awinash also holds a certification from the Project Management Institute in PMP.

Their manager is Gary J. Sorrentino, Global Chief Information Officer. They work with Magnus Falk - CIO, Gary Chan - Head of Corporate IT.
