Pedro Augusto L. S. da Cruz Nunes

Pedro Augusto L. S. da Cruz Nunes has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pedro Augusto started their career as an International Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from December 2003 to November 2004. Later, Pedro worked as an Advogado Senior at Pinheiro Neto Advogados from June 1995 to December 2013. In 2014, they became a Partner at Stockler Nunes Advogados.

Pedro then served as a Coordinator Jurídico at Dados do Bem starting from March 2020. In November 2020, they joined Zoox Smart Data as the Diretor de Legal & Privacy, responsible for the legal and privacy sectors. Pedro Augusto'srole involved managing the legal team, creating internal policies, negotiating commercial contracts, assessing legal risks, developing data protection initiatives, and overseeing corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Pedro implemented compliance initiatives and education programs. Pedro Augusto also took on the role of Data Protection Officer from January 2021.

Currently, Pedro Augusto L. S. da Cruz Nunes holds the position of Membro da Comissão sobre Aspectos Jurídicos do Empreendedorismo e das Startups at OAB/RJ since August 2022.

Pedro Augusto L. S. da Cruz Nunes has a diverse education history. Pedro Augusto attended Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 1993 to 1997 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law. In 2018, they completed a course in Tax Planning at Ibmec.

In 2021, they pursued an MBA in Business Management: Innovation and Entrepreneurship at FIA Business School.

In terms of additional certifications, Pedro attended Ann Cavoukian's Masterclass through Complete Privacy in May 2023. In November 2021, they obtained the PDPELGPD - EXIN Privacy and Data Protection Essentials certification from EXIN.
