Marian Farah

Marian Farah, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the fields of machine learning and data science, currently serving as Manager of the Collision Avoidance System at Zoox since June 2024. As the Founder of de Finetti Labs, established in August 2018, Marian provides consulting services for early-stage startups and venture capitalists in the ML/AI domain. Previously held the position of Head of Data Science at Cana Technology, Inc., where significant contributions included building a comprehensive data science ecosystem and developing ML algorithms for beverage recipe design. Marian's extensive career also encompasses roles at Zymergen as Senior Manager, Experiments and Optimization, and experience at The Climate Corporation in various data science capacities. With a solid academic foundation, including a Ph.D. in Statistics and Stochastic Modeling from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Marian has made notable advancements in biostatistics and epidemic modeling during a post-doctoral position at the University of Cambridge.
