Ryan Yee

Ryan Yee currently serves as the Head of Operational & Field Safety at Zoox, starting in November 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Director of Vehicle Safety & Compliance at Bird from February 2020 to November 2022 and an AV Safety & Compliance Engineer at Lyft, where involvement included work within Level 5, the company's self-driving division. Previous experience includes a Senior Associate position at Exponent, focusing on vehicle engineering, safety analysis, and product liability litigation, as well as roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley and a Lawrence Scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Ryan holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queen's University.
