Subhasis Das

Subhasis Das is a seasoned professional in the field of computer vision and sensor fusion with extensive experience in developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at Zoox since June 2016, Subhasis leads efforts to build and validate sophisticated perception systems, having previously managed a team focused on integrating sensor data into 3D environmental models. Prior roles include tech lead on lidar-based systems and positions at Stanford University as a Research Assistant, where significant work on cache efficiency and probabilistic modeling was completed. Subhasis also gained experience as a Software Engineer at a stealth mode startup, an intern at Apple working on CPU design, and a research intern at the University of Toronto. Subhasis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
