Tim Jung is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in systems and robotics engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer with the Zoox System Design and Mission Assurance team since June 2021, Tim previously worked at Amazon as a Hardware Systems Engineer specializing in robotics and functional safety from September 2019 to July 2021. Tim's background includes significant contributions to NASA's Mars Rover Perseverance project as a Robotics Engineer from May 2017 to September 2019, as well as mechanical design roles at Tesla Motors and Apple. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
