Victoria Matthews

Victoria Matthews is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate and transactional law. Currently serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Zopa since July 2018, Victoria focuses on corporate transactional matters, including fundraising and regulatory compliance for the lending business. Previously, Victoria held the position of Vice President - M&A Legal at Barclays Bank plc, where responsibilities included advising on mergers and acquisitions and managing complex regulatory frameworks. Victoria's earlier experience includes serving as Corporate Associate at Mayer Brown International LLP and as Head of Legal at QAS Limited, where notable achievements included advising on the company's sale to Experian Limited. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Oxford, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law, and a Master of Arts in Archives/Archival Administration from the University of Liverpool.
