Hoon Ki Kim

Hoon Ki Kim has a solid background in mechanical engineering and mechatronics. Hoon Ki most recently worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Zordi since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer at XYZ Robotics Inc. from November 2020 to January 2021, where they identified performance issues, made design modifications, and developed better tool changing mechanisms.

Before XYZ Robotics, Hoon Ki Kim worked at HEBI Robotics as a Mechanical Engineer from February 2017 to November 2020. Hoon Ki designed a lightweight cable-actuated two-finger gripper and created documentation for customers. Hoon Ki also interned at HEBI Robotics as a Mechanical Engineering Intern from June 2016 to December 2016, where they created assembly procedures, designed new testing equipment, and made design modifications to improve assembly processes and product quality.

In addition, Hoon Ki Kim worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University for a senior capstone course from January 2016 to December 2016, providing guidance in mechanical design and grading students' work. Hoon Ki also gained experience as an Engineering Intern at Premier Hydraulics in 2014, creating drawings, revising existing ones, and conducting testing methods to improve performance and solve problems.

Hoon Ki Kim obtained their Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering between 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution between 2009 and 2015.
