Ahmet Zorlu started his career in Denizli Babadağ, in a family company operating in the textile industry. Ahmet Zorlu, who opened his first textile store in Trabzon, moved the company's headquarters to Istanbul in 1970 and laid the foundations of Zorlu Holding together with his older brother Zeki Zorlu. Zorlu established Korteks, its first production company, in 1976, and gathered all companies under Zorlu Holding in 1990. By incorporating Vestel into Zorlu Holding in 1994, it paved the way for new business areas. Ahmet Zorlu's entrepreneurship, which he started with the textile industry; continued with companies operating in many different fields such as electronics, white goods, energy, real estate, metallurgy, and defense. Ahmet Zorlu, In addition to his membership of the Board of Directors at Zorlu Energy, he also serves as the Chairman or Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of many companies currently operating in different sectors within the Zorlu Group, especially Vestel Elektronik and Vestel Beyaz Eşya. Zorlu, who is also closely involved with non-governmental organizations, is a Board Member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TÜSİAD), Denizlililer Union Education and Culture Foundation (DENSİR), Babadağ Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (BASİAD) and Turkey Home He is a member of the Textile Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TETSIAD).
