James Cabe

James Cabe has extensive work experience in the field of network administration, security, and architecture. James currently works for ZPE Systems as the Director of Architecture Global Alliances, where they focus on edge and core infrastructure, disaster recovery, and out-of-band management. Prior to this role, they co-founded SensabilityIO, a company that offers a chaos resilient HMI with zero trust capabilities for control systems.

James has also worked as a Principal Consulting Engineer at Radiflow, a Channel Technical Director at Microsoft, and a vCISO and Technical Director at Fortinet. At Fortinet, they were responsible for coordinating strategic partnerships, developing technical training programs, and providing operational support.

Earlier in their career, James founded and served as the CEO of Omniscia Enterprises, where they served as a technical leader for Operational Technology and Information Technology. James also worked at Devon Energy as a Senior Network Administrator, where they managed network equipment deployment and administration for international domains and deep water sites.

James began their career as a Network Consultant at IPM and later worked as a Network Analyst and Backbone Engineer at BBN Planet.

James Cabe attended the University of Houston from 1992 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Organizational Leadership. In addition to their degree, James acquired various certifications throughout their career, including being a member of the ONUG 2023 Cloud Native Security Working Group Team and the ONUG 2023 Network Cloud Working Group Team. James also obtained certifications such as Security Architecture for System Engineers from Cisco in 2022, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2022, MCITP and MCTS from Microsoft in 2008, BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training and Helicopter Underwater Escape Training from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006, Citrix Certified Administrator from Citrix in 2002, and Cisco Certified Network Administrator from Cisco in 2000.
