Avery Smith

Avery Smith is an experienced Human Resources Specialist with a strong focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at ZS since October 2017. Key responsibilities include leading process improvements to enhance equity in talent processes, creating the Ideal Hiring Process to mitigate bias in recruitment, and designing mandatory bias mitigation training for hiring activities. Previous roles at ZS include Senior Associate and Diversity Recruiter, where innovative sourcing strategies and partnerships with diversity organizations were developed. Earlier internship experiences at Antares Capital LP and IDEAL INDUSTRIES provided foundational expertise in various HR functions, including performance management and recruitment. Avery holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago.
