Michael Carbenia has a long and varied work experience. From 1999 to 2006, they worked for Global Staging and Communications as the Head AV Liason, where they acted as show-lead and liaison between the company and customer, and was responsible for the set-up and operation of audio-visual equipment. During this same time period, they also worked for Safe Harbor Financial Planning as a Business Development representative, where they were tasked with establishing new customer relationships, growing new customers, and attending sales workshops and meetings. From 2006 to 2011, they worked for Brevard County Schools as a Teacher and Basketball Coach. From 2011 to 2016, they worked for Orange County Public Schools as an Assistant Principal, where they were responsible for Career and Technical Education, Exceptional Student Education, Digital Curriculum, Science 9-12, IB Science, and Facilities. From 2014 to 2018, they worked for Digital Natives LLC as a Co Owner, where they moved schools to 1:1 or BYOD, and gave speaking engagements at various conferences. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, they worked for St. Lucie Public Schools as the Director of Career and Technical Education, where they increased industry certifications results over 100% district wide and increased school grades by 20%. From 2018 to present, they have worked for zSpace, Inc. as the Sr. Executive Director of Workforce and Executive Director of Career and Technical Education, where they have expanded 3rd party content offerings across the zSpace Platform, led and managed the sales team in CTE pipeline development, leveraged and created Salesforce trend data, monitored market changes and industry behavior, conducted market research, and represented zSpace at CTE industry conferences.

Michael Carbenia has obtained a variety of educational qualifications throughout their career. In 2003, they obtained a BS in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology. Michael then went on to study abroad at the University of Oxford in 2006, focusing on Consumer Behavior. In 2008, they earned a Masters in Sports Psychology from Capella University, and in 2012 they obtained an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Stetson University.

In addition to these qualifications, Michael Carbenia has also obtained several certifications. In 2010, they obtained a Business Education K-12 certification from Pearson VUE. Michael also obtained a Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum Grades 6-9 certification from Pearson VUE in 2008, and an Exceptional Student Ed K-12 certification from Pearson VUE in 2007. In 2011, they earned a Microsoft Office 2010 (bundle) certification from Certiport. Michael also obtained a Microsoft Innovative Educator certification from Microsoft in 2017, an Entrepreneurship and Small Business certification from Business Fundamentals in 2017, and a Florida Education Leadership Exam certification from Pearson North America in 2013. In 2013, they earned an Internet Business Associate certification from Certification Partners, and in 2020 they obtained a HubSpot Sales Software certification from HubSpot. Finally, they are in the process of obtaining a Vocational Director - Career and Technical Education certification from the Florida Department of Education.
