Claire Thompson is the Chief Financial Officer of ZT Motors, providing financial oversight of five automotive operations in Florida and Georgia. In her role, she maintains manufacturer and financial institution relationships and monitors all financial transactions to ensure compliance. She also oversees contract negotiations, manages and trains controllers and prospective staff, and manages all accounting up to and including financial statements. Upon taking the helm of accounting for ZT Motors, she consolidated the accounting office and fully reorganized the accounting procedures and policies. A veteran of the automotive industry, she has more than 30 years of experience in the dealer retail sector. Prior to joining ZT, she served as the Corporate Controller of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive Group and Rick Case Automotive Group in Atlanta. Prior to her roles in Atlanta, Claire was the CFO of the Bernardi Automotive Group in New England where she had oversight of seven dealerships, the largest Honda parts wholesale business in New England, along with the Corporate Management Company. Claire also worked for more than a decade as the Controller for Palm Bay Ford/Kelly Ford in Melbourne, Florida, where she managed all accounting functions for two Ford dealerships. Her career in automotive accounting began at Jim Adams Ford in Lakeland, Florida, where she was responsible for various accounting functions for a multi-franchise dealership (Ford, Mazda, Isuzu, Hyundai, BMW, along with two pre-owned vehicle lots).
