Dr. Bettina Thurnher

Dr. Bettina Thurnher currently serves as the Director of Information Security (CISO) at Zumtobel Group, focusing on integrating information security into the company's core operations, developing security measures for IT and OT, and establishing risk management practices. Previously, Dr. Thurnher was recognized as CISO of the Year 2023 during a decade-long tenure at Gebrüder Weiss, where significant achievements included implementing an ISO 27001-compliant information security management system and conducting extensive employee training in information security. Prior roles include Automation Domain Manager at T-Systems Austria, where Dr. Thurnher managed IT service processes and led agile software projects, and a research assistant and lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein, specializing in usability engineering and business process optimization. Dr. Thurnher holds a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
