Alex Tsai

Alex Tsai has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alex began their career in 1997 as a Project Manager at Nike's FengTay Asia R&D Center, where they focused on research and development of CAD/CAM techniques. Later, they joined Academia Sinica as a Project Manager, overseeing an integrated internet application project. Alex then worked at Intech Taiwan Corporation as a Director, managing enterprise application projects for telecom, military, and banking sectors. Alex also worked as a Project Manager at the National Digital Archives Program, where they successfully managed national IT projects and partnered with Yahoo.com. Before that, they served as a Design Engineer at Officemate International Corporation, responsible for research, design, and manufacturing support of office supply products. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Product Engineer at Zumtobel Lighting, leading new product development for commercial LED lighting products and collaborating with various teams to optimize the industrialization process.

Alex Tsai received a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1989. Following that, they attended the University of Leeds and obtained a PhD in Computer Science in 1996.
