Tina McCord

Tina McCord has an extensive work history in the education field. Tina began their career in 2000 as a teacher at ACES School, where they implemented educational and behavioral programs for students in alternative schools. Tina then moved to Fairbanks North Star Borough School District in 2001 as a Special Education Coordinator, where they developed and implemented successful and effective curriculum programs across the school district. In 2007, Tina took on a Project Manager role at Plato Technology, where they oversaw and organized technology programs across various districts. Tina then joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2008 as a Project Manager, where they managed supplemental technology programs, revitalized professional development programs, and advocated for increased teacher involvement in the selection of educational tools. Most recently, Tina founded and became the CEO of ZUNI Learning Tree in 2012, where they are passionate about making a difference in education and is an advocate for student-led learning and for supporting educators.

Tina McCord earned a Masters from the University of Oregon in 1997-1998 in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs. Tina also earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from the University of Fairbanks between 1991-1996 in K-8 Elementary Ed.
