Jay Feng

Jay Feng has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Jay is currently working at Zuora as a Technical Lead since 2023. Previously, they worked at Zephr as a Software Engineer, Core Platform from September 2019 to January 2023, where they developed and maintained highly available and event-driven services. Jay also redesigned and rebuilt the layer between their CDN and Amazon DynamoDb to improve performance and stability. Jay also worked at Sainsbury's as a Software Engineer from January 2019 to August 2019, where they led backend development and successfully migrated legacy applications to a cloud-based platform. Before that, they were a Software Engineer at IG from September 2017 to December 2018, where they gained full-stack experience and maintained the order booking and trade execution functions of their Web Trading Platform. Prior to that, they worked as a Tutor at FunTech from July 2016 to August 2017, where they successfully ran summer camps and taught advanced programming courses. Jay also worked as a Code Club Trainer at the School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster University from October 2015 to June 2016, where they designed interactive course materials and helped school children develop their programming skills.

Jay Feng has a strong educational background in computer science and information technology. Beginning in 2011, Jay attended Selby College, where they obtained a BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in ICT System & Support. Jay continued their studies at Selby College from 2012 to 2014, earning a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT.

In 2014, Jay enrolled at Lancaster University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Science. Jay completed their undergraduate studies in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Jay Feng has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2012, they earned the Cisco IT Essential 4.1 certification from Cisco. Later, in February 2018, Jay achieved the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle.
