Kannan Govindaraj

Kannan Govindaraj has extensive experience in the field of site reliability engineering and infrastructure provisioning. Kannan worked as a Principal Site Reliability Engineer at Zuora from 2017, where they were responsible for automated infrastructure provisioning using terraform and ansible. Kannan also had hands-on experience with various AWS and Azure services. In addition, they successfully led a CDN migration project, replacing Akamai with Cloudfront.

Prior to Zuora, Kannan worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at LEEYO SOFTWARE PRIVATE LIMITED from 2016 to 2017. During this time, they played a key role in implementing single sign-on setup using Okta and open-source libraries. Kannan also optimized the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Git, resulting in a significant improvement in the production release cycle.

Before that, Kannan worked at Fujitsu America Inc from 2010 to 2016 as a Database/Application Administrator for their ecommerce applications. Kannan successfully migrated critical ecommerce databases and websites to the cloud and upgraded the database version from Oracle 9i to Oracle 12c.

From 2002 to 2010, Kannan worked as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator at Fujitsu Computer Systems. Kannan was responsible for installing, managing, and supporting production environments of various Oracle databases. Kannan also implemented an automatic replication system for web content updates and a monitoring software for critical databases.

Kannan's career started as an Oracle Database Administrator at Amdahl Corporation from 1995 to 2002. During this time, they performed core Oracle database functions, fine-tuned SQL queries for optimal performance, and implemented automatic database backups using UNIX shell scripts.
