Bettina Furrer

Prof. Dr Bettina Furrer has been a member of the Board of Directors since July 2019 and holds a PhD in environmental science (ETH). She is a member of the Board of Directors of Technopark Winterthur and a member of the extended energy research commission of the Swiss Academies of Science a+. From 2017 to mid-2019, she was a member of the Sustainability Advisory Board of Basler Kantonalbank and Bank Cler. From 2012 to mid-2018, she managed the Institute for Sustainable Development of the ZHAW School of Engineering. Prior to that, she worked as a lecturer at ZHAW and wrote her dissertation at ETH Zurich on the topic of "Corporate Climate Strategies and their Determinants – an Analysis of Banks' Responses to Climate Change". Prior to her work as a scientist, Bettina Furrer worked in various roles at UBS Group AG in the Corporate Responsibility department. Bettina Furrer is a member of the Audit and IT Committee of Zürcher Kantonalbank's Board of Directors.
