Elias Hafner

Elias Hafner, CFA, serves as a Senior Investment Strategist at Zürcher Kantonalbank since March 2018 and holds a position as a lecturer in Economics for the MAS in Real Estate Management program at FHS St.Gallen University of Applied Sciences since June 2017. Additionally, Elias acted as a lecturer for Commodities in the CAS Asset Valuation & Portfolio Management program at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW from May 2022 to December 2023. Previously, Elias was the Head of Swiss Listed & Regional Real Estate at UBS from December 2010 to February 2018 and worked as a Research Assistant at the Bank for International Settlements in 2009-2010. Early career experience includes a student trainee role in real estate investment banking at Bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. and an internship in fund management at Asset Management Consulting AG. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the University of Basel and an exchange semester in Time Series Econometrics and Empirical Finance at Aarhus University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from the University of Basel.
