Dr. Uzodinma Umeh

Dr. Uzodinma Umeh is the Chief of Staff and Chief Medical Officer at Zuri Health. Dr. was previously the Business Development Lead at AfyA Care from December 2019 to June 2022, where they were responsible for growing hospital revenue growth targets and key accounts. Dr. successfully drove down bad debt in the business and maintained relationships with over 40 active HMOs and retainerships. Dr. also designed new health products and screening plans for patients, as well as participated in key industry stakeholder meetings with government and NGOs to grow vaccine uptake of COVID-19 vaccine.

In their current role at Zuri Health, Dr. Umeh is responsible for coordinating front desk operations to reduce waiting times and no-shows through appointment scheduling. Dr. also manages a team of over six persons in driving the merger integration of hospital facilities across two locations. In addition, they have designed and developed new service products (Screening packages) for different customer sectors to drive B2C sales business in the hospital. Finally, they have fostered strategic partnerships with vendors, local and international organizations to achieve business growth in the OPD, pharmacy and other business units in the hospital.

Dr. Uzodinma Umeh has a Master of Business Administration from Università Bocconi, a Full Time MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, and a Global Network for Advanced Management degree from IE Business School. Dr. also has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a High School diploma from Loyola Jesuit College Abuja. In addition, they have several certifications, including an edX certificate in Innovating in Health Care, a Bestr certificate in Italian Language Crash Course, and a Università Bocconi certificate in Italian Crash Course.
