Ken Kurz is currently an advisor at Zuul IoT. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Corporate Office Properties Trust from February 2016 to January 2019. Ken was responsible for the leadership and direction in the management, development, security, and operation of the information technology function for COPT. Ken Kurz established a set of strategic activities directly focused on cybersecurity issues, architecture, engineering, and operations around the integration of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) supporting COPT's property management mission.
From November 2014 to January 2016, Ken Kurz was the Executive Director of Network & Information Assurance and Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Information Services (CIO) at the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation from April 2011 to November 2014. Ken Kurz began their career as the Chief of the National Cryptographic Solutions Management Office at the US Department of Defense from January 2009 to December 2011.
Ken Kurz received their MS in Information and Telecommunication Systems from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School and their BS in English from the United States Naval Academy. Ken is certified by ISC2 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
