Victor M. Mendez is an advisor at Zuul IoT. Victor previously served as the Deputy Secretary of Transportation from July 2014 to January 2017, and as the Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration from July 2009 to July 2014.
Mendez has dedicated their career to ensuring the safety and efficiency of America's transportation system. In their role as Deputy Secretary, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 10 modal administrations and the work of more than 55,000 USDOT employees nationwide and overseas. As Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration, they oversaw an annual budget of $70 billion to support infrastructure projects critical for long-term economic growth.

Mendez has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General, from Arizona State University. Victor is certified by the State of Arizona - Board of Technical Registration as a Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering.
