Dr. Simon Vitzthum

Dr. Simon Vitzthum currently serves as the Head of Global Industry Management at ZwickRoell, where responsibilities include leading a team that develops industry-specific strategies aimed at fostering sustainable growth and enhancing the company's industry positioning through cross-functional collaboration. Simon has extensive expertise in the mobility sector, particularly in mechanical testing solutions for the automotive industry. Previously, Simon completed a doctorate focused on in-situ analysis of steel characteristics at the Technical University of Munich, alongside roles as a research associate and involvement in industry research projects. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Management, both from the Technical University of Munich. Additional experiences include a thesis on electric vehicle testing at BMW Group US and an engineering internship with BMW Group, where contributions included developing a driving dynamics software tool.
