Prior experience includes roles as Scientist II at Novavax Inc., where assay development for drug production was undertaken, and Research Scientist II at GlycoMimetics, focusing on drug discovery and bioassay development. Jiwon Lee's early career involved significant research at the National Institutes of Health, contributing to studies on GPCR signaling, insulin signaling pathways, and the mechanisms of angiogenesis in cancer. Jiwon Lee holds a PhD from Seoul National University, with previous degrees in molecular biology and virology from Pusan National University.
