Markus Diethelm, Group General Counsel of UBS, is stepping down from his role on November 1. He will be succeeded by Barbara Levi, the Chief Legal Officer and External Affairs at Rio Tinto Group.
Markus Diethelm, Group General Counsel of UBS, is stepping down from his role on November 1. He will be succeeded by Barbara Levi, the Chief Legal Officer and External Affairs at Rio Tinto Group.
Levi joined Rio Tinto in January 2020 as Group General Counsel. Prior to that, she worked at pharmaceutical company, Novartis, for over 15 years where she held the position of Group Legal Head M&A and Strategic Transactions.
The Fordham University graduate has been admitted to the US Supreme Court and completed the bar in both Milan and New York State.

With more than 25 years of legal and compliance experience across different industries and geographies, she is ideally suited to lead our General Counsel function into the future.”
