Sergio Ezama has joined the team at Netflix as its Chief Talent Officer after 20 years at PepsiCo. He will start his new role in September and will lead the streaming service’s human resources, recruiting, culture and coaching teams.
He will report directly to COO and Chief Product Officer Greg Peters and will replace Jessica Neal, who Netflix announced would be leaving the company earlier this year.
Ezama most recently served as Global Chief Talent Officer at PepsiCo in addition to serving as Chief Human Resource Officer for functions and groups worldwide. In that role, he led the company’s efforts across all things talent-related in over 200 countries.
A native of Spain, Ezama has worked for a variety of talent leadership roles at PepsiCo since he joined in 2001. He’s worked in offices around the world including PepsiCo headquarters in the U.S., Spain, Switzerland, Russia, sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
Before PepsiCo, Ezama worked at telecommunications vendor Ericsson.
