Banzai Hires a CTO to Advance Its Micro-Targeting Solution

SaaS-based engagement marketing company Banzai has recruited Simon Baumer as its Chief Technology Officer.

The German native will work to streamline Banzai’s product lines and enhance their marketing capabilities for their customers.

In Banzai’s announcement, the company highlighted Baumer’s ability to optimize precision data in micro marketing targeting, an ability the company called “priceless” in the event industry.

“Simon brings direct experience, but also a passion for creating and leading category advances that were made possible by market opportunity,” Banzai CEO Joe Davy elaborated. “Mr. Baumer is the perfect fit for where Banzai is and for where it is going as the events industry takes on an entirely new post-Covid direction. Customers need to deliver more now than ever for their customers. The addition of Simon Baumer ensures that.”

Baumer brings over 15 years of experience leading engineering teams, creating product management strategies, and integrating acquired technologies. He most recently worked at Germany’s Verivox, where he led a technology team of over 200 as its VP of Engineering.

After launching in 2017, Banzai raised a $7 million Series A funding round in March 2020. The company currently counts major tech companies like Dell, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle as clients for its product, which can streamline the registration process and help boost attendance for regional and field marketing events.
