Venture Capital fund Expa, founded by Uber co-founder Garrett Camp has announced David Clark will join the firm as a Partner. Clark will be based out of the UK and responsible for opening the firm's London office as well as growing Expa's European portfolio.
Venture Capital fund Expa, founded by Uber co-founder Garrett Camp has announced David Clark will join the firm as a Partner. Clark will be based out of the UK and responsible for opening the firm's London office as well as growing Expa's European portfolio.
Clark previously worked at logistics financing provider Beacon as Head of Strategic Development. Prior to Beacon, he served in senior roles at Uber as Head of External Affairs and at Virgin Galactic as the Head Astronaut Relations.
At Expa, Clark will initially focus on "identifying the next generation of entrepreneurs throughout the UK and Europe." His longer term goals at Expa, include "developing and growing Expa's presence in Europe, and establishing Expa London as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups."
"The European startup landscape is quickly growing and is one of the greatest opportunities in the market today," said Camp. "The addition of David as a partner will help connect entrepreneurs in Europe with the extensive resources and benefits Expa has to offer."
Clark has been based in London for 25 years and will look to use his relationships and knowledge of the market to grow Expa's network in the region and find the next generation of European unicorns.
