State Street announced the appointment of Renee LaRoche-Morris to the newly created role of Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Chief Administration Officer Shared Services.
In her new role, LaRoche-Morris will be responsible for leadership oversight for COO Lou Maiuri, as well as a more centralized administration role at the organization working across multiple business areas.
LaRoche-Morris joins the financial services company from BNY Mellon, where she worked in leadership positions across custody, finance, and investment management groups. Her most recent role was COO for BNY’s Investment Management Group, where she oversaw operations, technology, initiatives and regulations impact investment management.
Before working in the COO role, LaRoche-Morris served as CFO of Wealth Management at the investment bank and as a Director of BNY’s custody arm, Pershing.
“Renee’s strong financial services background, exceptional organizational design skills, and track record of success make her the right leader for this newly created role,” Maiuri said in a press release. “She has demonstrated leadership in fostering growth and inclusive cultures and we look forward to having her on the team.”
