Sergeeff is a veteran corporate attorney and will lead as the newest Chief Legal Officer at Freshworks. Most recently, she served as EVP and Chief Compliance Officer for TiVo.
Freshworks announced Monday that longtime company attorney Pam Sergeeff will be promoted to Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. She will report directly to CEO and Founder Girish Mathrubootham.
In her new role, Sergeef will be responsible for the software company’s worldwide legal organization, corporate strategy, governance, product compliance, data protection, privacy and intellectual property.
She most recently worked as EVP and Chief Compliance Officer at TiVo (now Xperi), where she led worldwide legal affairs and operations for the company. Prior to that, Sergeef was EVP and General Counsel at Rovi Corporation, which acquired TiVo back in 2016.
"I am thrilled to welcome Pam to the executive leadership team and look forward to leveraging her expertise as we continue to scale the company," Mathrubootham said in a press release. "Her 20 years of experience at public technology companies is critical for our journey towards building a world-class software company."
In April, Freshworks hired investment bank Morgan Stanley to help prepare for an initial public offering later in 2021. The customer engagement software company competes directly with other CRM giants like Salesforce, and its stock market debut could be worth up to $10 billion, according to Reuters.
