Karen Parkhill Joins HP as CFO After Eight Years at Medtronic

Karen Parkhill is leaving her role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Medtronic plc to become the CFO of HP. This transition marks a significant move in Parkhill's career, bringing her extensive financial leadership experience to one of the world’s leading technology companies.

During her eight-year tenure at Medtronic, Parkhill played a key role in guiding the company through challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic. She was instrumental in developing and implementing a new operating model that helped drive Medtronic's growth strategy. Geoff Martha, Medtronic's Chairman and CEO, expressed his gratitude for her leadership, highlighting her support during his transition to CEO and her contributions to the company’s strategic direction.

Parkhill spoke fondly of her time at Medtronic, stating, "It has been a pleasure to serve Medtronic and our Mission for the last eight years. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to lead the outstanding finance team at Medtronic."

As she joins HP, Parkhill brings a wealth of experience to the technology sector. HP, a leader in personal computing, printing, and 3D solutions, is known for its innovative spirit and broad product range. Parkhill’s experience at Medtronic will be invaluable in her new role, helping HP navigate financial strategies in a competitive market.

Medtronic, meanwhile, is assessing internal and external candidates to fill the CFO position, with Gary Corona serving as interim CFO after Parkhill’s departure on August 2, 2024. The company has reaffirmed its financial outlook for the upcoming fiscal year, demonstrating confidence in its leadership team and strategic plans.
