Deloitte appointed Dr. Kulleni Gebreyes as the Director of its Health Equity Institute. She will be overseeing strategic direction at the institution.
"The establishment of the Deloitte Health Equity Institute is a critical step in our commitment to join the voices of public health officials, communities, and business leaders who are helping end systemic racism, especially in the area of health care," said Gebreyes in a press release.
A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Gebreyes has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has served as a faculty member at Georgetown University Medical Center and George Washington University Hospital.
According to her LinkedIn, from 2002-2009, Gebreyes was an attending physician, she later left her role to serve as the Senior Vice-President of Quality at Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care before becoming a management consulting Partner in health industries advisory at PwC.
