Ariel Kelman is moving to Oracle to take over the Chief Marketing Officer role. Kelman joins from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he had been Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for six years.
Prior to AWS, Kelman served as head of Worldwide Marketing for Salesforce.
Kelman is replacing Rupal Shah Hollenbeck, a former Intel executive who left AWS earlier this month, just over a year after joining.
This move will come as a blow for AWS, as Oracle and AWS are fierce competitors in the cloud infrastructure market.
