Every week we highlight a company leading the charge in transparency and making waves in their industry. This week we are featuring Collaborative Robotics.
Founded by ex-Amazon VP of Robotics Brad Porter, Collaborative Robotics or Cobot launched in 2022. The manufacturer and developer of robots aims to build a future where humans co-exist and benefit from having a nifty, trusted sidekick that can handle dangerous, monotonous tasks so humans can be more efficient.
What started as a team of 23 experts from top companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Meta now has over 60+ employees. Cobot boasts a recent raise of $100 million in its series B funding round, led by General Catalyst. In just two years, this powerhouse manufacturer built its first robot, Proxie. Proxie has served the logistics and healthcare industry, equipping players such as Moderna, Maersk, and Mayo Clinic. The adaptable, robotics-intelligent, empathetic designed, and most of all cost-saving helper allows these companies to foster a sustained competitive edge. With offices in Seattle and Santa Clara, as well as remote options, Cobot embraces an odyssey-first and camaraderie-filled environment to build its community.
