P&G Appoints Boeing Executive to Its Board of Directors

Proctor & Gamble announced Wednesday that B. Marc Allen will be appointed to its Board of Directors. Allen currently works as the chief strategy officer and senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at Boeing. His board position will go into effect immediately.

Allen currently oversees Boeing’s over-arching strategy, long-term planning, business and corporate development, and strategic investments, acquisitions and divestitures. He’s been with the aerospace and defense company since 2007.

"Marc has deep knowledge of international operations, trade, law and government relations, as well as very strong strategy and corporate development experience. His highly sought-after capabilities will further strengthen P&G’s board expertise in these critical areas.”

Allen has a longstanding history of leadership at Boeing and has previously served as the president for several of the company’s divisions, such as the Embraer Partnership and Group Operations, Boeing International, the Boeing Capital Corporation and Boeing China. P&G said in a press release that his experience in areas such as growth and productivity initiatives, new business and market development and government affairs will benefit P&G and its consumer goods brands.

Allen also served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. He sits on the board of numerous other global organizations such as the International Justice Mission and the Trilateral Commission and also serves as director of the U.S-China Business Council and the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership.
