Templafy is flying high after recently securing a $25 million in funding, and is ramping up hiring during the COVID-19 crisis. Here are the jobs it’s looking to fill.
Templafy, a SaaS platform that helps businesses automate and govern business documents, is flying high after recently securing a $25 million Series C funding round led by New York-based venture capital firm Insight Partners, and completing the acquisition of B2B sales-enabled platform Napp.
It’s been quite a journey for this startup from its founding in Copenhagen in 2014, to where it stands today with offices located in cities across the U.S., Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, and almost $70 million in funding to date.
Templafy aims to solve the problem of what it refers to as “document anarchy,” ensuring consistency across all of a company’s documents, presentations and emails using one simple centralized platform. With the new funding under its belt, the company is accelerating its ambitious growth plan, and hiring talented people to join in its mission to improve the way millions of people create and work with business documents.
The company's five offices are located in Copenhagen, New York City, Berlin, Sydney and Eindhoven, with over 220 employees representing 40+ nationalities. Each office is a unique blend of its core Danish values and the local culture. Interestingly, Templafy has chosen to forgo establishing a formal headquarters, opting instead to use Zoom as a centralized meeting point.
Templafy currently has 17 job openings with a strong focus on sales and engineering positions, followed by marketing, finance, delivery/support and sales op. It offers a full range of benefits, including a minimum of 5 weeks of paid time off (PTO) across all of its global officers, and healthcare coverage (in the U.S., the company covers 90% of healthcare premiums for employees).

Businesses have increasingly adopted Templafy’s cloud-based template-management system to safeguard their brand integrity and increase company productivity. The company has doubled its revenue growth every year since 2015, and has over 400 customers, including KPMG, IKEA and PANDORA, and more than two million users.
While the COVID-19 outbreak has triggered unprecedented mass layoffs, and otherwise slowed hiring at many businesses, some companies such as Templafy are actively hiring.
Now, more than ever, as the pandemic has changed the way we work, companies need tools to support their distributed workforce. Templafy, whose software solution allows employees to create on-brand and compliant business documents from anywhere, fits squarely into this category. Since March, the company has grown its number of employees by 10 percent, and plans to welcome additional new hires in the coming weeks and months.
The company says that an intrinsic part of its culture, and an essential component of its workplaces, is a flat hierarchy that is inclusive, and where everyone feels equal and supported by co-workers across all roles and levels. Templafy’s culture also emphasizes a team-oriented approach that’s trust-based, which the company believes allows it to be much faster and more agile in its decision-making process.
Templafy also prides itself on its long-standing tradition of communal lunches, which it says gives employees an opportunity to socialize and build trust with one another – all through the simple act of sharing a healthy daily meal together. While these lunches may not be possible during this time of uncertainty, Templafy has turned its regular company-wide Friday happy hour event into a virtual gathering across multiple time zones in an effort to maintain a sense of connection and camaraderie amongst its employees.
The company says it’s always on the lookout for bright minds to help it on its journey as the company builds new and better ways to change how business documents are created. While education level is a factor in evaluating a candidate, the company prioritizes a person’s intelligence, passion, potential, and cultural fit. The most successful Templafy employees are those who can bring their skills, passion and perspectives to the team, and who “thrive in a fast-paced environment and love the challenges of working in a B2B SaaS company.”
This startup is on track to continue its high-speed growth trajectory, and has ambitions to accelerate its product roadmap, further its international growth strategy, expand through acquisitions, and double its staff from over 200 to 400 full-time employees, all while focusing on maintaining its vibrant company culture.
