Workplace Tech

Businessolver, a leader in SaaS-based benefits technology and services, hired tech veteran Carey McKenzie as its Chief Acquisitions Officer.

Aircall, a digital business phone system, announced that Michael Haske will join the company as CEO, effective September 2, 2022. Haske was previously the President and COO at Paylocity.

Fintech

Hourly.io, a workers' comp and payroll startup, tapped Jerico Vinsonhaler to serve as Head of Underwriting. Vinsonhaler previously spent 20 years leading underwriting strategy at Markel.

Planful, a financial performance management cloud software company, promoted Pier Barattolo from SVP of North America Sales to Chief Sales Officer, a new position.

GoFundMe, an online fundraising platform, recruited former Microsoft executive and Xbox founder J Allard as its Chief Product and Technology Officer.

Marqeta, a modern card issuing platform, added Simon Khalaf as its new Chief Product Officer. Previously, Khalaf was the SVP in charge of Twilio’s core products.

Health Tech

Eleos Health, a CareOps automation startup targeting behavioral health, hired Yaar Reuveni as VP of Research and Development and Moshe Meroz as VP of Finance. Reuveni joins Eleos from Nielsen, where he served as VP of Research and Development and Meroz most recently served as the VP of Finance and Controller at Applitools.

uMotif, the creator of a patient-first eCOA / ePRO and engagement platform, named Gary Parrott as its CFO. Parrott was previously the VP of Finance for the Health Sciences Global Business Unit at Oracle.

Medely, a workforce management startup connecting healthcare professionals with jobs through an on-demand marketplace, hired Ashu Manohar as the company's VP of Product. Manohar was previously Head of Product for Courier at Uber.

Cue Health, a health technology company, appointed Allison Blackwell as Chief Human Resources Officer. She most recently served as the VP of Global Diversity and Inclusion for Danaher Corporation.

PathAI, an AI-powered pathology company, appointed Brandon Eldredge as CFO. Eldredge joins PathAI from Mass General Brigham, where he served as Chief Clinical Business Officer.

Truepill, a digital health platform, announced that Paul Greenall has joined the company as Chief Business Officer. Greenall joins Truepill after serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Prophet.

EdTech

Noodle, an online learning network, appointed David Ramadan as the company's VP of University Partnerships. Ramadan is a former legislator who is now an adjunct professor at the Schar School at George Mason University and a Resident Scholar at the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.

ScholarPath, an education platform designed for high school students, named Jarvis Harris as its Chief Customer Officer. Harris was previously the Global VP of Customer Success & Consulting Services at Visier.

Media Tech

FanDuel, an online gaming company, promoted Christian Genetski from Chief Legal Officer to President and elevated Mike Raffensperger from Chief Marketing Officer to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer.

Vimeo, a video software company, has hired Lynn Girotto as its Chief Marketing Officer and Ashraf Alkarmi as its Chief Product Officer. Girotto brings experience from her previous roles at Tableau, Microsoft, Starbucks and Getty Images. Alkarmi previosuly led enterprise video product at Brightcove, launched and ran Facebook Watch at Meta and held multiple senior roles at Amazon.

Transportation Tech

Fisker, an electric vehicle company, has hired Alpay Uguz as SVP of Global Manufacturing. Before joining Fisker, Alpay worked at BMW's production facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina as the general manager of the brand's SUVs.

Tesla, an electric vehicle company, lost AI and Autopilot leader Andrej Karpathy, who announced he has left the company.

Logistics Tech

Flock Freight, a technology company that is reinventing freight shipping with its patented shared truckload service, hired Orlando Baeza as its new Chief Marketing Officer, Pat Dillon as its new CFO, and Justin Turner as Chief Revenue Officer.

Locus, a technology company solving last-mile logistics challenges, appointed Mehul Kapadia as its Chief Growth Officer. Prior to joining Locus, Kapadia served as Global Head of Marketing for Vodafone's Large Enterprise & Public Sector, as COO for Motorsport Network and as SVP of Global Marketing for Tata Communications.

Cybersecurity

ID.me, a secure digital identity network, appointed Terry Neal as Chief Communications Officer. Neal was previously a Managing Director in the Corporate Affairs Practice at Burson Cohn & Wolfe.

Okta, an independent identity provider, appointed Shibu Ninan as Chief Accounting Officer effective August 15, 2022. Prior to joining Okta, Ninan served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Veritas Technologies.

Cerby, a security platform for unmanageable applications with a ‘zero trust’ approach, named Matthew (Matt) Chiodi, as Chief Trust Officer. Chiodi was most recently Chief Security Officer of Public Cloud at Palo Alto Networks.

IT

Yondr Group, a developer, owner operator and service provider of data centers, promoted Laramie Dorris to EVP of Global Design and Construction.

Blackbaud, the world's leading cloud software company for social good organizations, promoted Kevin Gregoire to COO, David Benjamin to Chief Commercial Officer and Tom Davidson to EVP of Corporations.

Red Hat, an IBM owned cloud services company, named Matt Hicks as its new CEO. Former CEO Paul Cormier will serve as Chairman of Red Hat.

Internet

NerdWallet, an online personal finance publication, announced that Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Gillease will step down from her role effective October 1, 2022.

Pinterest, a social media site, has tapped Nadine Zylstra to lead global programming and originals. She most recently served as the Global Head of YouTube Originals.

Proptech

Elm Street Technology, a provider of residential real estate technology and marketing solutions, selected Byron McDuffee as its CEO. McDuffee most recently served as the COO of DealerSocket.

Funnel Leasing, a renter management software platform, hired Tanya Gibson as Chief People Officer. Gibson joins Funnel from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America where she most recently served as VP of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (JEDI) and HR.
