Rinki Sethi has accepted the top cybersecurity role at Bill.com, just months after being ousted from her position as Twitter’s Chief Information Security Officer.

As Bill.com’s CISO, Sethi will lead the global information security and technology functions that protect the company’s customer, partner, and employee data assets. She will report to SVP of Engineering Vinay Pai and advise the company on innovations in the security and technology space.

Sethi brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity expertise to her new role, including her most recent stint as Twitter’s CISO. Before that, she led security operations at Rubrik as the cybersecurity company’s CISO and was the VP of Information Security at both IBM and Palo Alto Networks. Sethi also brings experience from roles at Intuit, eBay and Walmart.

In Bill.com’s official announcement, Pai stated, “I have known Rinki professionally for a long time, and her leadership as Bill.com’s Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer will be instrumental in further enhancing Bill.com’s secure and robust software platform.”

Rinki joins the company on the heels of a period of rapid growth that has been underscored by its recent acquisitions of Divvy and Invoice2go. In the company’s second fiscal quarter of 2022 (ended December 31, 2021) Bill.com brought in $156.5 million in revenue, up 190% from the year prior.

“I’m honored to be part of the mission to help SMBs run their businesses easily and securely,” Sethi added in Bill.com’s press release. “I’ve seen first-hand the passion of small business owners and the challenges they face. Bill.com's innovative vision inspires me, and I’m eager to help our customers streamline their financial operations.”
