Rui Zhang

Rui Zhang is currently Corporate Counsel at 0x Labs. Prior to this, they worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Citic group from August 2011 to June 2015, where they advised on corporate governance, regulator correspondence and due diligence for $36.3B listing of CITIC Limited on Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Rui also advised on $1.1B acquisition of CTM (largest telecom company in Macau) and $842M acquisition of Crédit Lyonnais Securities Asia. In addition, they worked with African government officials on construction of $800M affordable housing project, including contracting agreements, financing agreements and partnership agreements; engaged and managed local counsel. Rui also collaborated with World Bank legal team on a $300M African housing project, including establishing a joint venture and drafting key legal documents associated with the project.

From November 2017 to February 2019, Rui was Co-Founder, Legal & Operations at NAD Grid Corp (now called AmpUp). Prior to this, they interned at the Supreme Court of the People's Republic of China from June 2009 to August 2009.

Rui Zhang has a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cornell Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Peking University. Rui is also certified from the State Bar of California, the New York State Supreme Court, and the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China.
