Hailey Balestra-Foster

Hailey Balestra-Foster has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Hailey started their career as a Director of Administration at Clinical Care Extenders in 2006 and then worked as a Research Assistant at HMRI- Huntington Medical Research Institutes from 2007 to 2008. After that, they transitioned into the education sector and worked as a Science and Math Teacher at Southwestern Academy, The Hamlin School, and Synergy Kinetic Academy from 2008 to 2015. During this time, they also had a contract position as a Curriculum Developer at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in 2012. In 2015, Hailey joined Hack Reactor as a Counselor and Technical Mentor. Hailey then moved to Galvanize Inc in 2016, where they held various positions including Campus Lead and Counselor, Director of Operations for Hack Reactor Software Engineering Immersive, and Vice President of Operations for Hack Reactor. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Head of Instruction at Macro. Hailey Balestra-Foster began their education at Scripps College in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience with honors. Hailey then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they obtained the California Teaching Credential in Secondary Science, specializing in Chemistry, from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
